Why EventWiFi exists
EventWiFi started from a simple pattern in our network work: the hardest jobs were not offices with a permanent line, but places that needed a working network quickly and only for a while. A warehouse leased for a project, a production office in an empty building, a launch in a venue whose WiFi was built for a handful of guests, a site office that would wait weeks for its business service.
Those jobs need more than a router in a box. They need someone to check what the address can actually get, plan coverage across steel and levels, keep payments and production away from the crowd, and stay on the hook until pack-down. EventWiFi is the part of our business that does exactly that.
Who runs it
EventWiFi is operated by SydneyITFix, trading as Sydney WiFi and Computer Repair Center, a Sydney IT and network services business rated 5.0 on Google. The same Sydney-based team that installs office WiFi and business internet plans and installs EventWiFi networks, and works in English and Mandarin.
Where a job needs skills we don't keep in-house, we say so: event lighting and sound are installed by partner AV specialists and coordinated with the network as one job, and data cabling connected to the telecommunications network is done with our partnered ACMA-registered cablers.
How we work
- Site first. Every network starts with a walk-through or a floor-plan review, not a standard kit.
- Upload first. Streams, media and production files need upload, so we plan it before anything else.
- Separate lanes. Staff, guests, payments, devices and cameras each get their own network.
- One quote, one team. Connection, equipment, installation, support and pack-down in one written quote.
- Honest limits. If the venue doesn't allow outside equipment, or a site can't get the service you need in time, we tell you early.
